Who we are

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account & identity — when you sign in (through our identity provider, Auth0), your name, email address, and a unique user identifier.
• Profile information — a display name, phone number, profile photo/avatar, and language preference that you choose to provide.
• Content you create — messages, voice recordings, photos, and files you send within the app’s messaging and application features.
• Applications & event data — vendor, sponsor, and volunteer applications and the details you submit for event participation.
• Device & technical data — a push-notification token (to deliver notifications), app version, device type, and basic log/diagnostic data.

How we use your information

• Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Services and your account.
• Authenticate you and manage roles and permissions.
• Enable messaging, notifications, and event coordination.
• Send transactional emails and, with your consent, SMS updates.
• Respond to your requests and provide support.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

SMS / text messages

If you opt in, we send transactional SMS delivery notifications (such as task updates, schedules, and event coordination) through Twilio. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help at any time. We only text recipients who have opted in, and we honor opt-out requests. We do not use SMS for marketing.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf to operate the Services:

• Auth0 (Okta) — authentication and identity management.
• SendGrid (Twilio) — transactional email delivery.
• Twilio — SMS notifications.
• DigitalOcean — application hosting and file storage.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) and Apple Push Notification service — push-notification delivery.
• Google (Meet / Calendar) — interview scheduling links, where applicable.

We may also disclose information when required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Formosound, our users, or the public.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, after which we delete or anonymize it, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

Security

All traffic between your device and our Services is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). We limit access to personal data and rely on reputable infrastructure providers. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights and choices

You can view and update your profile information directly in the app. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data — including deletion of your account — contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Children’s privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

International users

We are based in the United States and process data there. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you consent to the processing of your information in the United States.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
